You can delete your entire TickTalk App account or remove only a selected watch. These options affect different data and services.
What Is the Difference?
| What happens | Delete Your App Account | Remove Only One Watch |
|---|---|---|
| Parent App account and data | Deleted | Retained |
| Watches affected | All watches linked to the account | Only the selected watch |
| Watch data | Associated App and watch data are deleted | The selected watch's cloud and local data are deleted |
| TickTalk Radio and TickTalk Care+ | Canceled for all linked watches | Canceled for the selected watch |
| TickTalk Wireless eSIM service | Canceled for all linked watches | Can be retained or canceled during removal |
The watch-only removal column applies to Stop using this watch, rather than the replacement workflow.
Data deletion is subject to the limited retention described below.
Important: Cancel Physical SIM Service Separately for TickTalk 3, 4, and 5
If your TickTalk 3, 4, or 5 uses a physical SIM card (pSIM), deleting your TickTalk App account or removing the watch does not cancel its TickTalk Wireless subscription.
To cancel:
- Visit activate.myticktalk.com.
- Log in to your wireless service account.
- Select the subscription associated with the watch.
- Choose Plan Details > Manage Plan > Cancel Subscription. Service remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.
You must complete this separate cancellation even if you have already deleted your App account or removed the watch.
For TickTalk 6 eSIM service, follow the account-deletion or watch-removal options described in this article.
Delete Your Entire TickTalk App Account
Use this option if you no longer need your TickTalk App account or any watches linked to it.
Go to:
TickTalk App > Parent Portal > My App > Delete Account
Follow the on-screen prompts and review the details before confirming.
Deleting your App account automatically:
- Deletes your TickTalk App account and its data.
- Deletes all linked watch accounts and their associated data, including cloud and local watch data.
- Cancels all services activated under the linked watches, including TickTalk Radio, TickTalk Care+, and TickTalk Wireless/eSIM service.
You do not need to remove each watch separately before deleting your App account.
Do not choose this option if you want to keep using another linked watch or are waiting for a replacement.
Remove Only One Watch
Use this option if you want to stop using one watch while keeping your TickTalk App account.
- Open the TickTalk App.
- Tap the child profile icon at the bottom of the app.
- Find the watch you want to remove.
- Tap Remove.
- Select Stop using this watch.
- Follow the on-screen prompts.
This option deletes only the selected watch's related data, including its cloud and local data. Your parent App account and its data are retained.
TickTalk Radio and TickTalk Care+ associated with the selected watch are also canceled.
Choose Whether to Keep eSIM Service
When removing only a watch, you can choose whether to retain its eSIM service.
- To keep eSIM service: Do not select the eSIM cancellation option.
- To cancel eSIM service: Select the cancellation option and complete the prompts.
Removing a watch while choosing to retain eSIM service does not cancel that service.
This choice applies to removing an individual watch. Deleting the entire App account cancels the services associated with all linked watches.
If You Are Returning a Watch for Replacement
Go to:
TickTalk App > Child Profile Icon > Select the Watch > Remove > Replace My Watch
Follow the on-screen prompts and keep your existing App account for setting up the replacement.
Do not delete your entire App account for a replacement.
If You Are Returning a Watch for a Refund
- If you want to keep your App account or continue using another watch, remove the returned watch using Stop using this watch. Select eSIM cancellation if you also want to end its wireless service.
- If you no longer need your App account or any linked watches, use Delete Account to delete the account, all linked watch accounts, and their associated data and services.
Is “Deactivate Watch” the Same as Removing a Watch?
No. Deactivate Watch is intended for a lost or stolen watch.
For a replacement, use Remove > Replace My Watch.
To stop using a selected watch, use Remove > Stop using this watch.
Before You Delete
Save any photos, videos, or other content you want to keep outside the account or watch being deleted.
Check your selection carefully, especially if multiple watches are linked to your account. Delete Account affects all linked watches.
A factory reset is not a substitute for the account-deletion or watch-removal process described above.
What Information May Be Retained?
Certain records may be retained for limited legal, billing, tax, telecommunications, security, fraud-prevention, warranty, or claim-related purposes. Residual encrypted backup copies are removed through the normal backup-rotation process.
For details, see TickTalk's Privacy Policy.
