TickTalk 5 is designed with IP67 water resistance to help protect against everyday exposure to water, including splashes, rain, and minor spills.
What Does IP67 Mean?
In laboratory testing, an IP67-rated device can withstand immersion in up to 1 meter of still water for up to 30 minutes.
In everyday use, this means TickTalk 5 is designed to handle:
- Rain
- Hand washing splashes
- Accidental water exposure
- Everyday active play
What Activities Should Be Avoided?
We do not recommend wearing TickTalk 5 during:
- Swimming
- Bathing
- Showering
- Water sports
- Extended water exposure
These activities create water pressure and conditions that differ significantly from laboratory testing.
Maintaining Water Resistance
To help maintain water resistance:
- Keep the SIM compartment properly closed.
- Make sure the SIM Lid Protector is installed correctly.
- Inspect the watch periodically for visible damage.
- Replace damaged components if necessary.
Water resistance may decrease over time due to normal wear and tear. If the sealing ring or SIM compartment becomes damaged, water protection may be reduced.
Is Water Damage Covered Under Warranty?
The standard TickTalk 1-Year Limited Warranty does not cover damage caused by water exposure.
For additional protection, customers may purchase an Extended Warranty plan that includes water damage coverage. Availability may vary depending on your activation and service plan.
