- Why won't my TickTalk connect?
- Why is my watch losing connection?
- Why does my watch say "No Service"?
- Why does my watch say "No Signal"?
If your TickTalk 6 is showing offline, disconnecting frequently, displaying "No Service" or "No Signal," or not staying connected, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Understanding Offline Status
"Offline" can mean two different things:
- Offline in the TickTalk App – The watch has not checked in recently. This may resolve automatically after the next connection update.
- No Service or No Signal on the Watch – The watch is unable to connect to a cellular or Wi-Fi network and requires troubleshooting.
Follow the steps below to determine which situation applies and restore your watch's connection.
Step 1: Turn Off Airplane Mode
On the watch:
Settings > Airplane Mode
Confirm Airplane Mode is turned off.
Step 2: Restart the Watch
- Power off the watch.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Turn the watch back on.
This refreshes the watch's cellular and Wi-Fi connections.
Step 3: Check Cellular Signal
Move to an area with stronger cellular coverage.
Weak signal can affect:
- Calling
- Messaging
- Location updates
- Overall connectivity
If your phone also has weak signal in the same location, the watch may experience similar connectivity issues.
Step 4: Confirm Your Service Is Active
If your watch shows "No Service" or "No Signal," make sure your wireless service is active and fully activated.
Activation may take up to 48 hours after setup.
If you're using TickTalk Wireless, confirm your line is active in TickTalk App > My Services > Wireless & eSIM before continuing troubleshooting.
If your eSIM plan is activated but the watch still shows No Service:
- Rule out a coverage issue first — indoor areas, basements, malls, parking structures, and other enclosed locations may have weak cellular signal and can cause No Service.
- If you're using a Travel Plan, check whether the included data has been fully used or the plan has expired.
- A U.S. domestic wireless plan may not provide cellular service outside the United States — use an eligible Travel Plan in supported destinations instead.
Step 5: Test Mobile Data
Temporarily turn off Wi-Fi and test the watch using cellular data only.
This helps determine whether the issue is related to Wi-Fi or cellular service.
Step 6: Test Wi-Fi
Connect the watch to a stable Wi-Fi network and test again.
If the watch works properly on Wi-Fi but not on cellular data, the issue may be related to signal coverage, eSIM/wireless activation, or network service.
Step 7: Check for Software Updates
On the watch:
Settings > OS Update
Install any available updates and test again.
