Common Questions
- Why won't my TickTalk 6 charge?
- Why is my battery stuck at 0%?
- Why doesn't the charging icon appear?
- Why is my TickTalk not responding when plugged in?
- Why won't my watch turn on while charging?
If your TickTalk 6 is not charging properly, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Step 1: Use an Approved Charger
Use:
- The original TickTalk 6 charging cable
- The TickTalk 6 Power Base
Third-party charging accessories or certain fast-charging adapters may prevent the watch from charging properly. TickTalk 5 chargers are not compatible with TickTalk 6 — make sure you're using the charging cable and Power Base that came with your TickTalk 6, not a charger from an older watch.
Step 2: Check Charger Alignment
Using the TickTalk Power Base
- Place the watch on the Power Base with the black and red buttons facing up.
- Make sure the camera is on the left side.
- Align the charging pins on the watch with the pins on the Power Base.
- Confirm the charging icon appears.
Using the Charging Cable
- Align the magnetic charging head with the charging pins on the back of the watch.
- Confirm the charger snaps securely into place.
- Verify the charging icon appears on the screen.
Poor alignment may prevent charging.
Step 3: Clean the Charging Contacts
Check the charging pins on both the watch and charger.
If needed:
- Disconnect the charger.
- Gently clean the contacts using a dry, soft cloth.
- Reconnect the charger.
Do not use liquids or cleaning chemicals.
Step 4: Try Another Power Source
Try:
- A different wall adapter
- A different power outlet
- A different USB power source
This helps determine whether the issue is related to the charger or power source.
Step 5: Reactivate a Deeply Discharged Battery
If the watch has not been charged for several weeks or longer, the battery may enter a deep discharge state and require reactivation.
Try the following:
- Connect the USB end of the charging cable to a power adapter.
- Attach the magnetic charger to the charging pins on the back of the watch.
- Once connected, wait about 1 second, then remove the charger.
- Repeat this process approximately 10–15 times.
- On the final attempt, leave the charger attached.
- Allow the watch to charge uninterrupted for at least 30 minutes.
This process can help reactivate the battery and establish a stable charging connection.
Step 6: Leave the Watch Connected
If the battery is completely drained:
- The charging icon may briefly flash and disappear.
- The screen may remain blank.
- The watch may not power on immediately.
This is normal.
Leave the watch connected to the charger for at least 2 hours before checking the battery level.
New Watch Won't Power On
If you just unboxed a new TickTalk 6 and it won't power on:
- Charge the watch for up to two hours before trying again.
- If the battery is deeply discharged, the charging icon may not appear during the first few minutes — leave it connected and wait.
- If no battery icon appears after about 30 minutes when you press the power button, check the charging cable/Power Base and power connection.
- If the connection is secure and the watch still won't charge or power on, contact TickTalk Support.
Charging Cable Care
To help extend the life of your charging cable:
- Avoid using fast-charging adapters.
- Do not leave the charging cable plugged in when not in use.
- Do not allow the magnetic charging head to remain attached to metal objects for extended periods.
