- Why isn't the pairing request appearing on the watch?
- Why won't the QR code work?
- Why does the watch show offline during setup?
- I scanned the QR code but nothing happens. What should I do?
If your TickTalk 6 won't pair with the TickTalk App, the issue is usually related to connectivity, pairing confirmation, account setup, or a previously paired device.
Follow the steps below to identify and resolve the problem.
Before You Start
Confirm that:
- The watch is powered on.
- The watch is connected to Wi-Fi.
- The latest version of the TickTalk App is installed.
- Your phone has internet access.
- Airplane Mode is turned off on the watch.
Problem: The Pairing Request Doesn't Appear on the Watch
If the watch never shows the pairing confirmation screen:
- Verify the watch is connected to Wi-Fi.
- Restart the watch.
- Restart the TickTalk App.
- Try the pairing process again.
The watch must be online in order to receive the pairing request.
Problem: The QR Code Won't Scan
If the TickTalk App won't scan the QR code:
- Increase screen brightness on the watch.
- Clean your phone camera lens.
- Hold the phone farther away and try again.
- Make sure the QR code is fully visible on the watch screen.
- Avoid glare or reflections on the display.
Problem: The Watch Shows Offline
If the watch appears offline during setup:
- Connect the watch to Wi-Fi.
- Confirm the Wi-Fi network has internet access.
- Restart the watch.
- Retry pairing.
A watch cannot complete pairing while offline.
Problem: The Watch Was Previously Owned
If you purchased a used or pre-owned TickTalk, it may still be linked to another account.
For privacy and security reasons, the original owner must remove the watch from their account before it can be paired to a new account.

Problem: Pairing Started but Never Finishes
If pairing begins but does not complete:
- Keep the watch connected to Wi-Fi.
- Keep the TickTalk App open during setup.
- Make sure the pairing request is confirmed on the watch.
- Restart both the watch and phone.
- Try pairing again.
Problem: The Wrong Account Is Being Used
Make sure you're signed into the correct TickTalk account before attempting to pair the watch.
Multiple TickTalk accounts can sometimes cause pairing confusion during setup.
