TickTalk Data Sync allows you to transfer your child's data from one TickTalk watch to another. Depending on your situation, you can either sync directly between two working watches or restore data from a T-Cloud backup.
What Transfers?
The following data can be transferred to a new watch:
- Photos
- Videos
- Messages
- eGreeting Cards
- Contacts
- Reminders
- Watch Settings
- Child Profile Information
If your old watch is broken, missing, or cannot power on, photos, videos, and message history can only be restored if a T-Cloud backup exists.
Contacts, reminders, settings, and profile information may still be recoverable even if the old watch is unavailable.
"Replace Watch" vs. "Stop Using This Watch" — Which Should I Choose?
When removing a watch from your account, you'll be asked to choose one of two options:
- Replace Watch — choose this when you're replacing a watch and want to preserve eligible data and services. After pairing the replacement, eligible TTID-linked settings and backup data can be restored to it.
- Stop Using This Watch — choose this when you no longer plan to use the device at all. Watch-related data may be deleted, and services such as TickTalk Radio and TickTalk Care+ may be canceled. eSIM handling depends on the option you select during removal.
If you chose Replace Watch (or chose to retain an eligible eSIM plan under Stop Using This Watch), you may see the eSIM plan available to transfer the next time you pair another eligible TickTalk 6 — this is expected.
Method 1: Direct Watch-to-Watch Sync

- On the new watch, select Sync data from another watch to this watch.
- The Primary User will receive a push notification in the TickTalk App.
- Approve the request.
- The transfer will begin automatically and progress will appear on both watches.
Method 2: Restore from T-Cloud
Use this method if the old watch is broken, lost, or unavailable.
Step 1: Create a Backup (If Possible)
On the old watch: Settings > Backup
If the watch will not power on, skip this step.
Step 2: Set Up the New Watch
If your new watch's eSIM/wireless plan isn't already active, activate or transfer it first via TickTalk App > My Services > Wireless & eSIM.
- Connect the watch to Wi-Fi.
- Open the TickTalk App.
- Tap your child's profile icon.
- Select Add Another Watch.
Step 3: Restore the Backup
- Complete the pairing process.
- When prompted, select your previous watch.
- Tap Yes to restore the T-Cloud backup.
- Leave the watch powered on and keep the TickTalk App open until the transfer completes.
Sync Not Working?
If the transfer fails:
- Confirm both watches are connected to Wi-Fi.
- Turn off Airplane Mode.
- Keep the watches within 3 feet of each other.
- Update both watches to the latest software version.
- Confirm both watches have at least 50% battery.
- Verify the Primary User approved the sync request.
- Restart both watches and try again.
