How Is TickTalk 6 Different From TickTalk 5?
TickTalk 6 builds on everything families loved about TickTalk 5 while introducing improvements to connectivity, signal reception, water resistance, and the overall design — all in a lighter, more efficient watch.
Built-In eSIM
TickTalk 5 used a physical SIM card. TickTalk 6 replaces this with a built-in eSIM, so there's no physical SIM to install, lose, or damage — activation happens directly through the TickTalk App.
Lighter, More Efficient Battery
TickTalk 6 uses a 700 mAh battery — smaller than TickTalk 5's 770 mAh battery, allowing for a lighter, more efficient watch. Despite the smaller cell, TickTalk 6 still delivers:
- Up to 48 hours of battery life with typical use
- Up to 135 hours of standby time (maintained from TickTalk 5, in a lighter, more efficient design)
Improved Signal Reception
TickTalk 6 pairs its comfort band with SignalBooster 2.0, improving signal reception by 20% compared to TickTalk 5.
Stronger Water Resistance
TickTalk 5 offered IP67 water resistance. TickTalk 6 is rated IP68, offering stronger protection for everyday water exposure. TickTalk 6 is still not designed for swimming, bathing, or submersion.
TickTalk Radio
TickTalk 5 offered music, podcasts, and stories through iHeartRadio Family. TickTalk 6 replaces this with TickTalk Radio, offering age-curated music and wellness content, with stations organized by age stage and managed by parents through the TickTalk App.
Location Tracking
TickTalk 6 continues to use a multi-layered location system combining Wi-Fi, GPS, and cellular tower positioning, along with AI-powered SmartPin location correction — unchanged from TickTalk 5.

TickTalk 6 continues to include the safety features families relied on with TickTalk 5:
- Parent-approved contacts
