What Wireless Plans Are Available for TickTalk 6?
TickTalk 6 plans are managed through the TickTalk App, including My Services:
- Essential — $9.99 per 30-day period: 1 GB data, 1,000 minutes of talk, and unlimited text messaging.
- Premium — $19.99 per 30-day period: unlimited talk, text, and data (subject to a high-speed data threshold — see below), plus TickTalk Radio included for as long as Premium stays active.
TickTalk Care+ is not included in either plan — it's always a separate, optional subscription. Prices shown don't include applicable taxes and governmental charges.
Note for customers outside the U.S.: TickTalk 6 eSIM activation currently supports U.S. carriers only, so these plans aren't available to customers outside the U.S. yet. See: Article — Is TickTalk 6 Available Outside the United States?
Billing Cycle and Automatic Renewal
TickTalk Wireless is a prepaid subscription billed in advance for each 30-day period — not a calendar month, so your billing date can shift slightly relative to the calendar. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel first.
What Happens If My Essential Plan Runs Out of Data or Minutes?
If you reach your Essential plan's data or talk allowance before your 30-day period ends, there are no surprise overage charges. Instead:
- You'll get a 3-day grace period, during which TickTalk will notify you and offer the option to upgrade to Premium.
- If you don't upgrade before the grace period ends, regular service is suspended for the rest of that billing period.
- Your allowances reset automatically once your next paid billing period begins.
Note: emergency calling and safety features depend on your device having power, signal, and network availability — they're never absolutely guaranteed, and nothing about this suspension process is meant to restrict access to emergency communications.
Premium Unlimited Data and High-Speed Data
Premium includes unlimited data, with the first 10 GB per billing period delivered at high speed. After that, data remains available but may run at reduced speed until your next billing period starts. There's no automatic overage fee for going past the high-speed threshold — actual speed also depends on coverage, congestion, and network conditions.
How Do I Upgrade or Downgrade My Plan?
If your current plan still has usage remaining, a plan change generally takes effect at the start of your next billing period, and your current period isn't restarted. If you've already used up your current plan's allowance, an upgrade may take effect immediately so your service isn't interrupted — in that case, billing treatment can vary depending on your specific setup. Details specific to your change will always be shown to you as part of that plan-change flow.
Upgrading from TickTalk 5 to TickTalk 6
If you're moving from an eligible TickTalk 4 or TickTalk 5 to TickTalk 6, you can transfer your existing plan and phone number over — including your first 30 days of TickTalk 6 wireless service free. For the full step-by-step process, plan mapping, and what happens to extended warranty coverage, see: How to Upgrade or Trade In to TickTalk 6: Transfer Your Plan and Keep Your Number
How Do I Cancel TickTalk Wireless?
You can turn off automatic renewal any time, with no cancellation fee:
- TickTalk 4/TickTalk 5: manage through activate.myticktalk.com
- TickTalk 6: manage through TickTalk App > My Services
Once you cancel, your service generally stays active through the end of your current paid 30-day period, then ends. Note: deleting the app, resetting your watch, removing a SIM, or simply not using the device does not cancel your subscription on its own — you'll need to actively cancel to stop future billing.
Can I Keep My Phone Number If I Cancel?
After your service ends, your number is generally held for up to 30 days. If you reactivate within that window, you'll usually get the same number back — though this isn't guaranteed, since it depends on technical and network availability. After 30 days, the number may be released, and reactivating could mean getting a new one.
Wireless Refunds
TickTalk Wireless is prepaid, and fees are generally non-refundable once a 30-day billing period has started, except where required by law. This includes situations like canceling mid-period, not using the device, or temporary coverage issues.
Coverage and Network Availability
TickTalk Wireless relies on underlying carrier networks, so coverage maps and signal indicators are estimates, not guarantees. Actual coverage, speed, and call/data quality can be affected by buildings, terrain, distance from a cell tower, weather, network congestion, and other factors outside TickTalk's control.
