Quick Answer
If your TickTalk 4 or TickTalk 5 currently uses TickTalk Wireless, you can transfer your existing plan and phone number to TickTalk 6 through TickTalk App > My Services > My Plans > + > Transfer Plan. Keep TickTalk 6 connected to Wi-Fi during the transfer so it can automatically download the eSIM profile once provisioning is complete.
Your old pSIM subscription cancels automatically once the transfer succeeds, your phone number stays the same, and your first 30 days of TickTalk 6 wireless service are free.
This works whether you're purchasing TickTalk 6 as an upgrade or trading in your current TickTalk 4 or TickTalk 5.
Who Can Transfer Their Existing Plan?
You can use the in-app Transfer Plan feature if:
- You currently use a TickTalk Wireless physical SIM in your TickTalk 4 or TickTalk 5
- Your existing TickTalk Wireless line is active and eligible for transfer
- You've received your new TickTalk 6 and are ready to activate it
If your TickTalk 4 or TickTalk 5 uses your own SIM card or a non-TickTalk Wireless carrier, that service can't be transferred through this feature — see "What If I Use My Own SIM Card or Another Carrier?" below.
Before You Start
- Wait until you have your TickTalk 6 in hand before beginning the transfer.
- Don't cancel your existing TickTalk Wireless subscription or deactivate your current pSIM before transferring. Your existing line needs to stay active for the transfer to complete.
- Make sure your TickTalk 6 is connected to Wi-Fi: Watch Settings > Wi-Fi. Keep it connected throughout the transfer — TickTalk 6 needs an internet connection to automatically download and install the new eSIM profile once carrier provisioning finishes.
How to Transfer Your TickTalk Wireless Plan
- Open the TickTalk App and sign in using your existing TickTalk account.
- Go to My Services > My Plans.
- Tap the + icon and select Transfer Plan.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to transfer your current TickTalk Wireless service from your TickTalk 4 or TickTalk 5 physical SIM to the built-in eSIM in your TickTalk 6.
The transfer itself may complete in just a few minutes, but carrier provisioning can take up to 48 hours in some cases. Keep TickTalk 6 connected to Wi-Fi during this time — even before cellular service finishes activating, the watch can still use available Wi-Fi features. You'll get an email notification once the transfer and activation are complete.
Can I Put My Old SIM Card Into TickTalk 6?
No. TickTalk 6 uses a built-in eSIM and has no physical SIM card slot — your existing TickTalk 4 or TickTalk 5 pSIM can't be installed or used in it. Use the Transfer Plan feature instead to move your eligible service to the TickTalk 6 eSIM.
Will I Keep My Phone Number?
Yes. A successful transfer moves your existing watch phone number automatically — you don't need to request a new number or manually port anything.
What Happens to My Old Subscription?
Once the transfer completes:
- Your previous TickTalk Wireless pSIM subscription is automatically canceled — no need to cancel it yourself
- Your original physical SIM is no longer active for that line
- A new TickTalk 6 wireless subscription is created and linked to your new watch
Please don't manually cancel your old plan before starting the transfer, unless TickTalk Support instructs you to.
What Happens to My Current Plan?
Your existing plan automatically migrates to the matching TickTalk 6 plan:
| Your Current Plan | Becomes on TickTalk 6 |
|---|---|
| Essential | TickTalk 6 Essential |
| Essential Plus | TickTalk 6 Essential |
| Premium | TickTalk 6 Premium |
| Premium Plus | TickTalk 6 Premium |
You don't need to manually select a plan during an eligible transfer — it happens automatically based on this mapping.
Can I Change or Cancel My Plan After Transfer?
Yes. Once your eSIM activation is successfully completed, go to My Services > My Plans > Change Plan to change or cancel your TickTalk Wireless plan. Like our previous pSIM plans, all TickTalk 6 eSIM wireless plans have no contract and no activation fee.
Your First Month of TickTalk 6 Wireless Is Free
If you successfully transfer an existing TickTalk Wireless pSIM plan to a TickTalk 6 eSIM, your first 30 days of TickTalk 6 wireless service are free. Your new billing cycle begins on the date your eSIM is successfully activated, and regular billing starts automatically after those first 30 days — no manual renewal needed.
Will My Billing Date Stay the Same?
No. Since the transfer creates a new TickTalk 6 wireless subscription, your billing cycle resets — your new cycle starts on the date your TickTalk 6 eSIM is successfully activated.
What Happens to My Extended Warranty?
If your previous Essential Plus or Premium Plus plan included extended warranty coverage, that coverage does not automatically carry over to TickTalk 6 — it was tied to your previous device.
For TickTalk 6, extended protection is offered separately through TickTalk Care+. You'll be given the option to add it after selecting your TickTalk 6 wireless plan during activation. Care+ is a separate subscription from your wireless plan — you can cancel it independently without affecting your TickTalk Wireless service.

What If I Use My Own SIM Card or Another Carrier?
If your current TickTalk 4 or TickTalk 5 uses a personal SIM card or a non-TickTalk Wireless carrier, the Transfer Plan feature can't move that service. You'll need to activate a supported eSIM service for TickTalk 6 instead. If keeping your existing phone number matters to you, contact TickTalk Support before activating a new line so we can check what options are available.
Trading In? Don't Send Your Old Watch Back Too Early
Upgrading/trading in your old watch and transferring your wireless service are separate processes. If you're trading in a TickTalk 4 or TickTalk 5, don't send it back until you've completed:
- Data backup
- Account setup
- Wireless plan transfer
Follow the trade-in instructions provided by TickTalk before returning your old device.
My New Watch Hasn't Installed the eSIM Profile After Transfer
If your number transferred successfully but the new TickTalk 6 hasn't installed its eSIM profile:
- Make sure the new watch is online — we recommend keeping it connected to stable Wi-Fi during the transfer.
- If the profile installation prompt hasn't arrived, go to Watch Settings > eSIM to trigger a profile download.
- Number transfers may require carrier provisioning before the profile is sent to the new watch. If the profile still hasn't installed after the expected provisioning period, contact TickTalk Support.
What If My Transfer Is Still Pending?
Some transfers complete within minutes; others can take up to 48 hours. While waiting:
- Keep TickTalk 6 connected to Wi-Fi
- Don't repeatedly restart the transfer
- Don't activate a second wireless line or create another subscription
Starting a new line while a transfer is still pending may result in duplicate service or an unwanted new phone number. If your transfer hasn't completed after 48 hours, contact TickTalk Support.
What Information Should I Provide If I Need Help?
If you hit an error or the transfer doesn't complete, please have ready:
- Your current watch phone number
- Your old TickTalk 4 or TickTalk 5 IMEI
- Your new TickTalk 6 IMEI
- The email address associated with your TickTalk Wireless account
- A screenshot of any error message
Our support team can check carrier provisioning and transfer status for you.
