How Do Voice Calls Work on TickTalk 5?

TickTalk works like a standalone phone and supports two-way voice calling between your child and approved contacts.

Voice calls can be made using:

  • Cellular service
  • Wi-Fi Calling (when available)

Who Can Call My Child?

Parents control who can contact the watch.

Approved contacts may include:

  • Family members
  • Guardians
  • Friends
  • Teachers
  • Caregivers

Unknown callers can be blocked using the Block Unknown Callers feature.

 

Can My Child Call Regular Phone Numbers?

Yes.

TickTalk can place calls to approved phone numbers, including:

If Dial Pad Access is enabled, your child may also manually dial phone numbers.

How Do I Enable or Disable Dial Pad Access?

  3. Select Watch Call Log.

You can view recent incoming and outgoing calls from the watch.

Yes—TickTalk 5 requires an active cellular plan for calling, messaging, and location services when Wi‑Fi is unavailable. If Wi‑Fi is available, voice calls can use Wi‑Fi calling (when available), and location updates require the watch to be online via cellular service or Wi‑Fi.
