How Do I Set Daily Music Limits or Disable iHeartRadio Family?
TickTalk allows parents to manage music listening time and data usage for iHeartRadio Family directly from the TickTalk App.
Before You Begin
The watch must be online using either:
- An active cellular connection, or
- A Wi-Fi connection
to receive updated settings.
How to Set Daily Music Limits
- Open the TickTalk App.
- Go to Parent Portal.
- Select Music Usage Limits.
- Choose your preferred daily limit:
- Unlimited
- Custom hours and minutes
- Save your changes.
The updated limit will automatically sync to the watch when it is online.
How to Control Music Data Usage
You can choose how iHeartRadio Family accesses the internet.
- Open the TickTalk App.
- Go to Parent Portal > Music Usage Limits.
- Under Data Usage Control, choose:
Play Using Wi-Fi Only (Recommended)
- Music only streams when connected to Wi-Fi.
- Helps reduce cellular data usage.
- Often provides a more stable streaming experience.
Play Using Wi-Fi and Cellular Data
- Music can stream using either Wi-Fi or cellular service.
- May increase monthly data usage.
By default, TickTalk is set to Wi-Fi Only.
How to Disable iHeartRadio Family
To completely disable music access:
- Open the TickTalk App.
- Go to Parent Portal > Music Usage Limits.
- Turn off Music Enabled.
- Save your changes.
Once synced, the iHeartRadio Family app will be hidden from the watch and will no longer appear to your child.
Can I Re-Enable iHeartRadio Family Later?
Yes.
Simply return to:
Parent Portal > Music Usage Limits
and turn Music Enabled back on.
Important Note
iHeartRadio Family is currently available only for customers located in the United States.
International customers will not see iHeartRadio Family on their TickTalk watch.
