How Do I Add Watch Friends on TickTalk 5?
TickTalk's Watch Friends feature allows children to connect with other TickTalk watches for voice calls, FaceTalk video calls, and messaging.
For safety, parents are notified whenever a new Watch Friend is added.
Before You Begin
Watch Friends is disabled by default.
To enable Watch Friends:
- Open the TickTalk App.
- Go to Parent Portal.
- Select Add Friends.
- Turn on Add Nearby Friends.
Option 1: Add Nearby Watch Friends
Children can add nearby TickTalk watches directly from their watch.
To add a nearby Watch Friend:
- Open Add Friends on the watch.
- Make sure both TickTalk watches are within approximately 6 feet of each other.
- The watches will automatically search for nearby TickTalk devices.
- Once detected, the watches can be added as Watch Friends.
After a Watch Friend is added:
- Both children can call, message, and FaceTalk each other.
- Parents will receive a notification in the TickTalk App.
Option 2: Add a Watch Friend Using a TTID
If the other TickTalk watch is not nearby, you can add it using its TTID.
To add a Watch Friend manually:
- Open Add Friends on the watch.
- Select Input TTID.
- Enter the friend's TTID.
- Submit the request.
The TTID can be found on the other watch under:
Settings > Pair
How Do I Remove a Watch Friend?
Parents can remove Watch Friends at any time.
To remove a Watch Friend:
- Open Messages on the watch.
- Tap the profile icon.
- Select Edit.
- Select the Watch Friend you want to remove.
- Tap Delete.
Important Note
Watch Friends are different from App Users.
- Watch Friends are other TickTalk watches that can communicate directly with your child's watch.
- App Users are parents, guardians, relatives, or other approved users who communicate through the TickTalk App.
