How Do I Change Ringtones and Volume on TickTalk 5?
TickTalk 5 allows you to customize ringtones, vibration settings, alarm volume, and notification sounds directly from the watch.
Open Sound Settings
On the watch, go to:
Settings > Sound Modes
Sound & Vibration Modes
On the first page, choose how the watch handles sounds and notifications:
Ring Only
- Plays sounds and ringtones
- Notifications are audible
Vibrate & Ring
- Plays sounds and vibrates
- Recommended for most users
Vibrate Only
- Vibrates without playing sounds
Silent Mode
- Mutes sounds and notifications
Change the Ringtone
Swipe to the second page within Sound Modes.
You can:
- Browse available ringtones
- Tap a ringtone to preview it
- Select your preferred ringtone
To hear ringtone previews, the watch must be set to either:
- Ring Only
- Vibrate & Ring
Adjust Ring & Alarm Volume
Swipe to the third page within Sound Modes.
Use:
- + to increase volume
- − to decrease volume
This controls:
- Incoming call volume
- Alarm volume
- General ringtone volume
Turn Notification Sounds On or Off
Swipe to the final page within Sound Modes.
You can enable or disable:
- Notification sounds
- Touch/click sounds
How Do I Adjust Call Volume?
During an active voice call:
- Locate the + and − buttons on the call screen.
- Tap + to increase volume.
- Tap − to decrease volume.
The volume indicator dots will show the current call volume level.
How Do I Adjust iHeartRadio Family Volume?
While listening to iHeartRadio Family:
- Use the volume controls displayed on the playback screen.
- Tap + or − to adjust the volume.
iHeartRadio Family is currently available only for U.S. customers.
Troubleshooting Sound Issues
If you cannot hear calls, notifications, or alarms:
- Verify the watch is not in Silent Mode.
- Increase the Ring & Alarm Volume.
- Check that Bluetooth audio devices are disconnected.
- Restart the watch and try again.
