How Do I Reset or Unpair My TickTalk Watch?

If you are replacing, selling, returning, or troubleshooting your TickTalk watch, you may need to reset the watch or unpair it from your TickTalk App.

Before You Begin

We strongly recommend creating a T-Cloud backup before resetting your watch.

To create a backup:

TickTalk App > Parent Portal > T-Cloud > Backup

Before resetting:

Make sure the watch is online.
- If your TickTalk Wireless plan is inactive or canceled, you can connect the watch to Wi-Fi to keep it online.
Confirm the watch appears as Online in the TickTalk App.

How to Reset Your TickTalk Watch

A reset will erase all information stored on the watch and return it to factory settings.

To reset the watch:

Open the TickTalk App.
Tap your child's profile icon in the bottom center of the screen.
Select Remove.
Choose Reset Watch.
Confirm the reset request.

The watch will restart and return to factory settings.

How to Unpair a Watch From the TickTalk App

If you are replacing, selling, transferring, or permanently removing a watch from your account, you can unpair it from the TickTalk App.

To unpair the watch:

Open the TickTalk App.
Tap your child's profile icon in the bottom center of the screen.
Select Remove.
Choose Unpair Watch.
Confirm the unpair request.

Once unpaired:

The watch will be removed from your TickTalk account.
The watch can be paired to a different TickTalk account.
You may be logged out of the TickTalk App and asked to sign in again.

What's the Difference Between Reset and Unpair?

Reset Watch

A Reset:

Erases data stored on the watch.
Returns the watch to factory settings.
Is commonly used for troubleshooting.

Unpair Watch

An Unpair:

Removes the watch from your TickTalk account.
Disconnects the watch from the TickTalk App.
Is commonly used when replacing, selling, returning, or transferring a watch.

Important Note

If you want to keep your photos, videos, messages, and other watch data, make sure you create a T-Cloud backup before resetting the watch.
