How Do I Re-Pair My TickTalk Watch After Unpairing It?
If you previously unpaired your TickTalk watch from the TickTalk App, you can pair it again by following the steps below.
Important: Your Old TTID Cannot Be Reused
When a watch is unpaired, the original TTID is permanently disconnected from the watch.
TTIDs are unique and are not reused.
Because of this, the old TTID and QR code will no longer work for future pairing.
Before Re-Pairing
Your watch must be online before a new TTID can be generated.
The watch can be online using either:
- An active SIM card with cellular service
- A Wi-Fi connection
If the watch is offline, a new TTID cannot be generated.
How to Pair the Watch Again
If You Already Have Another Watch Paired
- Open the TickTalk App.
- Tap your child's profile icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Select Add Another Watch.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
If No Watch Is Currently Paired
- Open the TickTalk App.
- Select Add a New Watch.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Get the New TTID
On the watch:
- Go to Settings > Pair.
- Wait for the watch to generate a new QR code and TTID.
- Scan the QR code using the TickTalk App or manually enter the new TTID.
Complete Pairing
Follow the remaining setup instructions in the TickTalk App to finish pairing.
Once pairing is complete, the watch will be linked to your account and ready to use.
Troubleshooting
If you do not see a new TTID or QR code:
- Confirm the watch is online.
- Verify the SIM card is active or the watch is connected to Wi-Fi.
- Wait a few minutes and try again.
- Restart the watch and revisit Settings > Pair.
